26     LES (Luxembourg Employment Study)

The LES database includes Labour Force Surveys from countries with quite different labour market structures. These surveys provide detailed information on areas like job search, employment characteristics, comparable occupations, investment in education, migration, etc.  Currently includes European and Asian countries. The LIS/LES team harmonises and standardises the micro-data from the different surveys in order to facilitate comparative research. The datasets can be accessed via the Internet mailing system by submitting SAS, SPSS or STATA programs. Source data may be available from individual countries.  Users should contact their national CESSDA or IFDO archive.
