NESSIE Reference Manual:
Good Practice in Comparative European Research

This manual is intended as a reference source for all those interested in undertaking quantitative comparative research in Europe. The Manual has been developed incrementally throughout the life of the NESSIE project and beyond. The results of meetings, consultations and comments have been incorporated as they became available. The information should, therefore, reflect the experience of not only the original NESSIE partners but of researchers already involved in comparative research on Europe. It is not expected that the Manual will be exhaustive, but will cover the key factors in fostering effective access to quality data for comparative research in Europe.
